Food Market Adventures Part Three

The last Food Market I visited was at The Old Biscuit Mill in Woodstock, which to be honest I thought that was the food market's name but it actually is the Neighbourgoods Market. We went on a Saturday morning (just remember it is only open on a Saturday) for breakfast, I made the wrong decision going to the food market on an empty stomach! Every stall we walked passed I wanted to eat something from them. So we started off with a coffee, which generally I am not a fan but Ollie's under the Tentacle at the entrance of market does whip up a good coffee.

As you make your way into the food market, you have vendors selling flowers, fresh fruit and vegetables, cacti and bonsai trees. Then you enter a world of food heaven from Churros Stalls, to a Sushi Bar, to Flat Breads, to German Wursts, to Oysters and to Dim Sums, if you name it...you could probably find it here.

Finally have a while of walking around, it was one stall that caught our attention as it had exactly what we wanted for breakfast that Saturday Morning. It was an understated stall when compared to some of the other stalls on show but what it lacked in decor was offset by the amazing food and customer service. I had the Chorizo Breakfast Sandwich which was freshly made scrambled eggs, lettuce and chorizo in a very large ciabatta roll. The guys at the stall were amazing as well, they were quite busy turning out several orders but as I waiting they gave us some bacon and mozzarella croquettas to eat while I waited. Once the sandwiches were ready, trust me the wait was definitely worth it an I would definitely go back to this stall for that breakfast.

So the Food Market Adventures of Cape Town has come to an end but I will definitely be going back to these markets when I go back to the Mother City.
